About & Introduction
Many people who consider therapy are capable, thoughtful, and used to managing responsibility — often for a very long time. They may appear successful on the outside while internally feeling tense, exhausted, self-critical, or unable to fully rest. Some live with chronic anxiety or pain that doesn’t make sense given their circumstances. Others have tried therapy before and still feel unsettled, despite insight and effort. If this resonates, therapy here is designed to meet you with respect for the ways you’ve adapted, not to label or pathologize you.
I work from a trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware perspective that prioritizes emotional safety, pacing, and understanding why patterns exist — not pushing change through willpower. Rather than focusing on symptom management alone, our work centers on understanding stress and trauma responses, reducing chronic fight-or-flight activation, softening harsh self-criticism without losing competence, and building greater internal safety and self-trust. This approach is often helpful for adults who are highly functional yet feel internally strained, and for those who value depth, nuance, and thoughtful collaboration in therapy.
I typically work with adults who feel “on edge” much of the time, struggle with perfectionism or over-responsibility, experience anxiety or burnout despite outward success, have a history of trauma or chronic stress, live with stress-related physical symptoms or pain, and value privacy, discretion, and depth. Many clients are accustomed to being the capable one that others rely on and are seeking a space where they don’t have to perform or explain themselves.
Therapy is collaborative, relational, and paced with care. Sessions focus on building awareness of internal patterns, increasing nervous system regulation, and creating space for change that feels sustainable, not forced. Progress often comes through understanding, attunement, and consistency rather than quick fixes. This is depth-oriented work intended for people who want meaningful internal change and are willing to engage thoughtfully in the process
