Covington-McGee Christian Counseling (also known as Covington-McGee Wedding & Christian Counseling Chapel) is a faith-based counseling practice located in San Antonio, Texas, that provides holistic healing for the mind, body, spirit, and emotions.
The practice was established in 1989 by Dr. Mel McGee, an ordained Christian pastor and minister with over 32 years of experience. Dr. McGee’s approach integrates Christian teachings and values to help individuals and families navigate life’s difficulties and achieve spiritual peace.Covington-McGee specializes in a wide range of counseling and support services:
Individual & Couples Counseling: Addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship conflicts.
Marital & Pre-marital Counseling: Dr. McGee is a provider for the Twogether in Texas program. Couples who complete the pre-marital course receive a certificate that waives the $60 state marriage license fee and the 72-hour waiting period.
End-of-Life & Bereavement: Specialized support for grieving adults and families, including Bereavement Support Groups to help individuals build coping skills and connect with others in similar situations.
Wedding Officiating: As an ordained minister, Dr. McGee performs both religious and civil wedding ceremonies.
